Geosynthetic Clay Lining (GCL)
Tuowang GCL is composed of three layers, the upper and lower layers are geotextiles, which mainly play a role of protection and reinforcement, making it has a certain overall shear strength and tensile strength, and the middle layer is sodium clay granular layer, which is made of natural clay mineral inorganic materials, has high expansibility, high water absorption capacity, and low water permeability when wet, mainly providing the anti-seepagefunction.

The GCL is produced in a special needle-punching method, in which the coarse fiber passes through the clay layer from the upper geotextile and is fixed on the lower geotextile, making the three layers combined into a whole, which effectively enhances the integrity of the GCL and greatly enhances the shear strength and tensile strength of GCL. This enables the GCL to be used alone or together with compacted clay impervious body or geomembrane. It is mainly applied in landfill, underground reservoir and underground infrastructure construction of environmental engineering to solve the problems of sealing, waterproofing and leakage prevention.
