  Polypropylene spunbond nonwoven fabric is a type of nonwoven material made from polypropylene. It is produced by drawing the polymer into fibers at high temperatures to form a web, which is then bonded into a sheet using a thermal bonding process. Thanks to its simple manufacturing process and high production capacity, it is non‑toxic and harmless to humans, making it widely used in hygiene products and various other applications.
 
  In nonwoven fabric manufacturing, the spunbond process has achieved remarkable global growth over the past two decades, thanks to its distinct advantages in production technology, product performance, and manufacturing efficiency. Today, approximately 40% to 50% of nonwoven production relies on meltblowing technologies—including spunbond, meltblowing, and their combined processes. These meltblowing methods account for 50% of total output in the United States, 37% in Europe, and 41% in Japan, among other regions. Data indicate that advanced economies have largely adopted meltblowing as the primary method for producing nonwovens. In the highly developed North American market during the 1990s, spunbond nonwovens already represented as much as 54% of the entire nonwoven market.
